From 1989 to 1996 Tales from the Crypt horror anthology series was wonderfully creepy late-night programming, which had HBO, and adolescents whose parents fear quite forgotten what it was in the pay-cable broadcast after 22 hours. The sample is from the cartoon series of the same name, and now the return of the Cryptkeeper small screen to scare a whole new generation.
Gil Adler (producer of the original series in the crypt) and Andrew Cosby (co-creator of Eureka ) develop a new series of 1 hour on the comic book shops and in the version of the current development cycle. Hit the jump for more details.
Run reports on this new version is not an anthology or be associated with HBO program, but with the help of a serialized version of the cartoon characters in a modern context. The manufacturers are obliged to show to take broadcast and cable networks in the near future with an array of retail and Bible in hand, to the new show. The report notes that Cinemax has expressed interest, as is the sister channel HBO once again to the original.
I'm not sure how to tame the program would air on a broadcast network, so I'm hoping to find a home on a cable network. To understand the scope and tone of horror comics, is a certain amount of artistic freedom, the necessary aspects for the Gore / Creature of the series. Since the series is acquired in the current development cycle, and we hope to hear soon.
